DAY 1
MARRAKESH – TIZI N’TICHKA –AÏT BENHADDOU – SKOURA – DADÈS GORGES
Departure in the morning for the Dadès Gorges, we’ll cross the High Atlas mountains at the Tizi nTichka pass and continue up to the Kasbah of Tamdaghte and Aït Benhaddou. We’ll stop at Ouarzazate for lunch. Visit to the palm tree groves and Kasbah of Skoura, along the road to El Kalee M’goun. We’ll then head towards the Kasbah of Glaoui Ait-Youl up to the Dadès Valley. Arrival at hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2
DADÈS GORGE – TODRA GORGE – MHARECH
Departure for the desert along a stretch of the Paris/Dakar itinerary to Mharech crossing the Tizi-N-tfrkhin pass, stop for lunch, then a taste of the famous hamada and a visit to the desert plateaus along the Algerian border. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3
MHARECH – RAMLIA – MERZOUGA
Breakfast followed by departure for the sandy Oued Ghris, we’ll pass through small villages scattered along the route to Ramlia and the Ouzina desert (lunch). Departure for Taouz, where we’ll admire some cave engravings, we’ll also pass through the village of Gnaua. Our tour will then bring you to the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. We’ll then resume our journey on camel back, over the dunes, just in time to enjoy the sunset and spend the night among the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in a camp.

DAY 4
MERZOUGA – NOMADS – KHAMLIA – MERZOUGA
After breakfast, ride across the dunes and the 2 oases of Merzouga, passing by some nomad camps and the village of Khamlia, known for its inhabitants who are descendents of slaves from black Africa. We’ll then visit Mifiss mines and desert plateaus where you are likely to encounter and meet Berber nomads and the oasis of Tissardmine. Return to hotel at round 4 p.m. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5
MERZOUGA – MIDELT- AZROU- FES
After breakfast, departure from Merzouga to Fes, via Erfoud and Midelt. We’ll stop for lunch near the cedar woods of Azrou where you can observe the wild monkey population. We’ll then pass through Ifrane and arrive in Fes in the evening, where our tour finishes.
